If you want to stay in a hidden, peaceful place where you can besides a great view, strong massage and good breakfast even learn about Hindu culture, this is the right place for you! The host speaks English very well and is willing to answer all your questions and share with you his stories. We also had a chance to go with him in the temple during their big celebration 😊

We stayed 3 nights and extended by 4 nights. Our room was right by the pool and we had a great view of the mountains. We really enjoyed the peace and nature. From here you can easily explore the mountains, lakes, waterfalls and much more by motorbike. The food was good and cheap and Nyoman, the owner, always surprised us with local fruits. The whole house is in Balinese style and has a lot of charm. You can also book tours with Nyoman and Jaya, a friend and co-worker at the guesthouse, will accompany you. Many, many thanks to Nyoman and Jaya, we felt very comfortable in your family!

I spent what I can only describe as my best couple of weeks in Bali so far at Pondok Nyoman. Absolutely stunning place and host- all round fabulous. The untainted views of the rice fields and mountains are breathtaking, the rooms are spacious and cleaned to high standards, the WiFi is strong throughout/ good enough for digital nomading. The gardens are delightfully designed, the atmosphere is serene, and there are well laid out places to eat and socialise. There even is a mini gym and area to practice yoga in- a wonderful add-on to the infinity pool for exercise! The level of care I received from Nyoman and team was the highlight however- nothing was ever too much and all I could possibly need during my stay was handled directly from Pondok. Food, refreshments, laundry, massages- all arranged effortlessly and in a timely manner. For trips (no less than 10 sites worth checking out within 30 mins drive!), Nyoman even connected me with trusted drivers/ tour guides in the area so I could make the most of my visit in full confidence- as a solo traveller I felt very safe and looked after during every single outing. Last but not least, amenities nearby are good too- traditional market, minimarts, ATMs, plus a nice selection of warungs and restaurants available on foot if you're looking to try something different. All in all, if you're passing in the area or looking for a bit of a retreat away from the hustle and bustle of the south like me, then please do not hesitate to give Pondok a chance to wow you. You'll find a home away from home, a sense of belonging, and the most loving embrace from Nyoman - a kind and caring man whose life story I bet will also inspire you. Die Unterkunft ist zu empfehlen. Der Ausblick ist traumhaft, es gibt warme Duschen und genug zu erkunden in der Nähe. Roller sind in der Unterkunft vorhanden (75K). Wir hatten etwas Pech mit dem Service, deswegen ein Stern Abzug.
